Description
The Division of General Internal Medicine & Primary Care within the Department of Medicine is currently seeking Internal Medicine physician candidates for faculty positions in the Health Sciences Clinical series at the level of Assistant Professor or above. This position is 100% outpatient/ambulatory with no inpatient duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient ambulatory patient care at the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange or the Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care in Irvine, CA
- Teach residents and medical students
- Contribute to scholarly activities
- Provide public and University service
Schedule:
8 Patient Care Sessions per week, split as 2 sessions per day 0800-1200 & 1300-1700
2 Non-Patient Care Sessions per week for university activities
Qualifications:
- M.D /D.O. or equivalent degree
- Unrestricted CA Medical License
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and/or Medicine/Pediatrics
Benefits include:
- $310,500 - $319,500 compensation package based on qualifications, training, and experience
- Academic Incentive Bonus: up to $10,000
- Productivity Incentive: Dollar amount per work RVU with zero cap
- Faculty Department Stipend: $2,500/year (amount varies annually)
- 24 days paid vacation, 14 paid holidays, 1 week of CME time
