Description
Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will help adult patients in our outpatient clinic receive comprehensive primary care, including diagnosis and management of common illnesses.
In this role, you will assume clinical responsibility for tasks performed within your scope of practice, collaborating with a physician/medical director. You will take patient histories, perform physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, establish diagnoses, provide care and management for common illnesses, facilitate disease prevention, make appropriate referrals, and participate in quality improvement programs.
To be successful in this role, you must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with expertise in adult internal medicine, demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency in patient assessment and management, and possess strong collaborative skills for working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- 100% Outpatient clinic
- In collaboration with the physician/medical director, assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice
- Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies
- Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement program
- Works within multidisciplinary team to develop plan for the patient and their family

Job Requirements
Required
- NP or PA Master's Degree from accredited program
- Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
- Hold and maintain national certification in NP/PA area, under AZ regulations
- American Heart Association BCLS
Preferred
- Three years experience in endocrinology
