Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesVirginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is seeking a Critical Care Nocturnist physician to join our well-established team in Tacoma, WA. As a Critical Care Nocturnist, you will enjoy:
- Competitive Base Salary: $504,000 for 140 night shifts (7PM - 7AM) annually.
- Attractive Extra Shift Compensation (optional):
- $3,600 per additional 12-hour night shift.
- $3,000 per additional 12-hour day shift.
- Sign-On Bonus: $20,000.
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $15,000.
- CME Allowance: $5,000 annually.
- Retirement Savings: Generous 401(k) with employer match.
Additional Information about becoming a Critical Care Nocturnist with us:
- On-Site Role: This is a 100% on-site position at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.
- Collaborative Closed ICU Model: Practice within a closed ICU model, working closely with a dedicated Critical Care APP.
- Flexible Scheduling: We require a minimum of 35 shifts per quarter. Our scheduling is designed to accommodate your preferences.
Compensation: $504,000 /year.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include direct patient care, involvement in unit operations and leading daily multidisciplinary rounds. Positions are available to work at a single site or at multiple sites. The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to be part of a collaborative, quality driven team with a commitment to providing evidence-based care to the patients we serve.
Job Requirements
- Board Certification: ABA or ABIM in Critical Care. Combined Pulmonary and Critical Care board certification is highly desired.
- Candidates boarded in Emergency Medicine will be considered
- 2+ years of experience
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA
- Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
- Authorized to work in the United States. We are not offering Visa support assistance for this position.
