Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our General Gastroenterologist, you will join our multidisciplinary team in Phoenix, Arizona with Dignity Health Medical Group Arizona and the Digestive Disease Institute.
In this role, you will establish and grow a general gastroenterology practice within a 429-bed Academic Medical Center and its associated clinics. You will also have the opportunity to supervise residents and fellows, while serving as a distinguished faculty member for the Creighton University Medical School (Phoenix campus) Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong passion for gastroenterology and a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality, comprehensive patient care. You will benefit from robust support across General Surgery, all Surgical Subspecialties, Pathology, and Radiology.

Job Requirements
Required
- Board-eligible/Board-certified in Gastroenterology
- Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
- Completed ACGME accredited fellowship training
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
Where You'll Work
Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed provider group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 350 providers and 850 support staff who cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 sub-specialty services. The physicians and APPs provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students. Chandler Regional Medical Center is a full-service, 429-bed acute-care and trauma level 1 hospital, with approximately 78,000 emergency department and 5,000 trauma activations annually. It is a primary stroke center, has cardiovascular and cardiac surgery services, and neurosurgery. Combined, our East Valley facilities deliver over 7,000 babies/year with growth anticipated with the opening of the Women and Children's Pavilion.
Dignity Health Medical Group is an affiliate member of the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, giving Creighton learners in Phoenix access to state-of-the-art facilities with knowledgeable practitioners. Through the partnership, Creighton residents, fellows and students gain essential patient-care experience in prominent Phoenix facilities from world-class faculty. Creighton University opened their Phoenix Health Science Campus in 2021 with a full Phoenix presence including a four-year medical school, accelerated nursing program, doctor of pharmacy program, doctor of occupational therapy, doctor of physical therapy, and master of physician assistant studies, just next door to St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center campus. This expansion will ensure that Arizona-and DHMG-are doing their part to contribute to top-notch training of future medical professionals. Dignity Health Medical Group employs the faculty for the newly created community graduate medical education programs in Chandler and Gilbert. The programs include internal medicine, family medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine, and OBGYN residencies.
