Are you a hospitalist or internist with interest in Nephrology?

The Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Kentucky is offering a novel opportunity to complete training requirements while maintaining a hospitalist salary. The hybrid nephrology fellow/hospitalist appointment will offer an individualized approach to complete nephrology fellowship training with intermittent hospitalist opportunities to ensure a salary that meets the needs of today's trainees. Proposed options include 6 or 8 months per year of dedicated fellowship training with remaining months as hospitalist experience. Fellowship includes extensive exposure in critical care settings, continuous renal replacement therapies, ultrasound training and guided biopsies, plasma exchange management, extended transplant experience, and a variety of kidney diseases referred from across the region.

Our goal is to maximize training opportunities that a flexible hospitalist schedule would provide. Excellent retirement benefits, insurance, and many more advantages are offered to fellows taking this unique path to becoming a nephrologist.
