The Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSU SOM) Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) is currently seeking a faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on the Clinician-Educator track to join colleagues in the HIV/STD program. Our new colleague will join the ID division faculty in clinical research, epidemiologic studies, and implementation science. The new faculty member will participate in our statewide program for education of health care providers in HIV, STD and viral hepatitis care and prevention. The physician will be responsible for teaching medical students, residents and infectious disease fellows in both inpatient and outpatient environments. As a member of our faculty practice plan, Wayne Health, the physician will participate in the patient care activities of the division and Wayne Health's focus on population health. In our affiliated hospitals (Detroit Medical Center and Karmanos Cancer Center), the physician will enjoy academic opportunities to grow and thrive at a large, urban tertiary care center. In the ID division HIV program, we are excited to serve our patient's individual health and our community's public health as an integrated interdisciplinary activity.
