MEDICAL DIRECTOR, HOSPITAL MEDICINE
Reporting to the Chief of Hospital Medicine, this position offers an outstanding opportunity for an experienced physician to provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve the clinical, quality and financial objectives of the program.
The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of hospitalist clinical experience along with formal involvement in quality and process improvement, organizational development, and/or hospital committee membership. Past physician leadership experience is very desirable.

NSMC is seeking both full and part time nocturnists to join our expanding program. Flexible scheduling options are available.
Admissions typically average from 6-8 over a 12 hour shift. The ICU is "closed" and staffed 24/7 by Intensivists. No procedures are required.

The responsibilities of the Chairman, Department of Medicine, will include the coordination and management of credentialing and privileging, and leadership in providing exceptional quality of care and patient satisfaction. This position also oversees undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate education through an affiliation with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine for medical students, medical residents and fellow rotations at Saint Francis.
In addition to overseeing operations, call scheduling and coverage, risk management, departmental budgets and business development, this leadership position will also work collaboratively with multiple hospital committees, inpatient medicine, critical care platforms and relative service lines to grow our reputation and patient population.
