The Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center, Inc. (IHTC), is seeking a board eligible/certified Internal Medicine Physician to work as a hospitalist as part of the medical team. The clinical responsibilities for this position involve rounding and care on the IHTC primary inpatient service where patients with a variety of hematologic disorders (such as sickle cell disease, hemophilia, thrombosis etc.) are admitted. No prior hematologic experience or expertise is required. Collaborative support for care delivery from the IHTC hematologists is always available. The Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine is initiating a new program in health services and outcomes research and seeks an MD or PhD researcher with demonstrated research expertise in health outcomes, health services, decision sciences, comparative effectiveness research, or translational/clinical research. This new initiative in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics presents an opportunity for a visionary candidate with a record of engagement with communities and collaborators to build and grow a collaborative health outcomes or translational/clinical research program, as well as to further develop their own research interests that attract extramural grant funding. Protected time for individual-initiated research is provided. Strong candidates combine a solid scientific background in health services and outcomes research with additional expertise in areas such as survey expertise, population-based health delivery and the US healthcare system, clinical trials and translational research, pharmaceutical economics, or health informatics. The successful candidate is expected to lead matrixed teams, developing and facilitating collaborative research with clinical researchers that also provides training and opportunities for residents and medical students including participation in outcomes research.
