Education Excellence

The Ohio State University College of Medicine is consistently ranked among the top 40 medical schools in the United States and among the top 15 public universities. The college’s innovative curriculum places students in clinical settings from the start of their first year. We are one of the few schools in the world to offer five dual medical degrees: MD/PhD, MD/MBA, MD/JD, MD/MHA and MD/MPH.

Our School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences offers degrees in athletic training, health sciences, medical dietetics, radiologic science, respiratory therapy and physical therapy.

More than 60 accredited graduate and residency programs train more than 800 residents and fellows each year. In addition, users in approximately 150 countries access our web-based continuing medical education training programs each year.

Ohio State Wexner Medical Center is earning international distinction in our six Signature Programs – cancer, critical care, heart, imaging, neurosciences and transplantation. In addition, we offer clinical care in virtually every medical specialty and subspecialty through a unified physician practice, representing more than 1,000 pre-eminent physicians. Our seen hospitals and network of community-based offices and care centers manage more than a million patient visits each year.

We're one of only 12 medical centers in the nation to receive the 2016 UHC Quality Leadership Award from the University HealthSystem Consortium. We ranked #3 among 104 academic medical centers, based on quality, safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care.

APPOINTMENT TYPE

Regular – Any appointment for which the relationship between the department and the individual is intended to be ongoing.
Term – Faculty or Unclassified appointments for which the relationship between the department and the individual is for a designated period of time, normally greater than one year but less than three years.
Temporary – Any appointment for which the relationship between the department and the individual is for a designated period of time, normally less than one year.

FULL-TIME EQUIVALENCY

100% FTE – 40 standard hours per week
75% FTE – 30 standard hours per week
50% FTE – 20 standard hours per week
